Sponsor Shout-out

Been trolling the melting slopes of Brundage Mountain Resort lately for lost treasure.  Lots of powder baskets and hats- random gloves.  Some dude's debit card.  Today I found this little gem:

Training for Ultras in the high peaks is serious business.  That's why when I get an "ultra" sized thirst for cinnamon whiskey, I reach for the only cinnamon whiskey with the Devil on the label (33% Satan's urine by volume).  It's thick and syrupy and burns going down, so when I guzzle it, I know it's working. Piles of miles

Took Monday and Tuesday off.   Below are the Wednesday to Sunday numbers.  Tons of snow slogging and bushwhacking with some good quality fartlek hill running.

T-minus 32 days.  Coming into form.  Must stay healthy.

Weiser River Trail 50K, Rapid River exploration

Crewing for Brandi and Matt at the 3rd Annual
Weiser River 50K.

B got sick for the second year in a row finishing 6th and bettering her time by 40 some minutes.  Mountain runners take a beating on this fast course.

Matt in his first ultra finished 3rd overall.  A solid effort and he raced hard all the way with very  consistent splits.  He will be a force in the local mountain ultras this year.
